Did You Know ...

         In
       Canada,
     12% of water
       we use comes
     from the ground,
    the rest from
      rivers and lakes.

        If all
      the Earth's
      water was in
     a 5L pail the
   available freshwater
       would only
       fill a teaspoon

          Canadians
        pay $28/month
         for water.
        Europeans pay
        $112/month, but
         Canadians use
             twice as much!

           97% of
        all the water
         on earth is not
        available for cooking
        or drinking (oceans,
     ice and atmosphere).
         Only .3% is
         usable by humans!

           Canada
        has the longest
      coastline in the world
        with 243,792 km.
        The coastline of
       Grey & Bruce counties
            is 750 km.

           Of all
          the water
        we use in the
         average home:
      35% for bathing
     30% to flush the toilet
         20% for laundry
     10% for drinking/cooking
          5% for the rest.

           50% of
        the world's
         population lives
        on a daily ration of
        drinking water that
        amounts to what
         Canadians use in the
         first 90 seconds
              of a shower
