A Community Effort

The Grey Bruce Children's Water Festival is organized and delivered by a volunteer committee comprising of 18 community organizations and environmental agencies. The event is fully funded through the generosity of sponsors and requires over 600 volunteers.

Philosophy

The Grey Bruce Children's Water Festival focuses on several key messages for students: using water wisely, protecting our water supply, examining the interface between water and technology, and celebrating the overwhelming role of water in the ecosystem.

Carrying this message successfully to students requires a team effort. The team is comprised of community stakeholders united with a common vision of sustainable education.
These initiatives are geared to society's youngest members. We firmly believe that from their educational experience at our Festival, these children will continue to spread the environmental messages they learned throughout their communities.
